New England: Free Website Design Award for Small Nonprofits
Small, direct-service nonprofit organizations in New England are
eligible to apply for an award that includes a complete, professional
website design. The annual award program is offered by PureVisual,
a Cambridge, Mass. design firm specializing in service to nonprofits.
The award recognizes one organization that provides exemplary and
innovative services on a limited budget, and it promotes the benefits
of good design in the nonprofit sector. Each year, one winning nonprofit
organization receives a free website design or redesign worth up
to $10,000. Applicants must have 10 or fewer employees and serve
a community in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire,
Vermont, or Rhode Island.
"Direct-service organizations typically struggle to offer
critical services without the access to resources that larger organizations
and corporations have," said Donnie Baker, president and co-founder
of PureVisual.
The deadline for submitting an application is June 28. A panel
of judges representing the nonprofit community will evaluate the
entries, and the winner will be announced at gala event in early
September 2004.
