Chris Klein Returns To Work After Rehab

More than 100,000 deaths in the U.S. can be attributed to alcohol abuse every year, according to Alcohol Addiction Info. Alcoholism is a disease that can be treated at rehabilitation facilities, but individuals must first face their addiction in order to receive help.

Actor Chris Klein is an example of a person who was able to detoxify and turn his life around. The “American Pie” star left a rehabilitation facility this week after seeking treatment for alcohol dependency. Prior to entering recovery, Klein, 31, had been arrested twice for charges stemming from alcohol abuse and spent four days in jail.

The actor was in rehab for a total of two months. He is slated to make his first appearance since entering treatment on the season finale of FOX’s “The Good Guys.”

“He’s doing fantastic,” a close friend told CNN. “He loves comedy and these guys [on “The Good Guys”] are all fantastic … being on set again with such a talented and welcoming cast has done wonders for him.”

More than 14 million Americans suffer from alcoholism, according to Treatment Centers. Rehabilitation facilities can help individuals rid themselves of their alcohol dependency over time.
